Designs fall apart at implementation when they only describe the happy path.     The journey mapped and agreed first, including the paths people take when something goes wrong, before any visual design work begins.

    Colour, type, spacing and radius defined as variables that become CSS custom properties, so design and code share one vocabulary.

    Every state specified

    Loading, empty, error, partial and overflow states drawn explicitly, which is where most handoffs quietly lose fidelity.

    Accessibility built in

    Contrast ratios, focus order, target sizes and reduced-motion behaviour checked against WCAG 2.2 AA during design rather than retrofitted.
